Jane Marin is a talented Australian artist who came from England with her parents and younger brother in 1970. She now lives with her husband Livio and two children Levana and Demetre on a cane farm in the Queensland district of Bundaberg. She is an accomplished artist employing many different media and earning early acclaim with her pencil sketches and photography. She has pursued a number of sewing arts especially thrilling clients with her soft sculptures including her trademark cats, which earned her more awards during the 1990s. Always a keen photographer, Jane established scrapbooking as an art form many years before it became fashionable and now teaches her distinctive style. She also teaches the art of photography itself and uses it as a therapeutic tool. Her photography displays a sensitivity to form, light and colour often missed by the naked eye. An early work won her a National award during the 1980s. Since returning to the competition scene, she continues to wow the judges with her award winning style. Here she shares with you just a few of her favourite things. |
